Enterpreneurship is personal leadership. Are you serious about business? What do you have to lose if it doesn’t work out? I started my first business in 2006. After returning from Scotland (where I worked two jobs), I opened my first business with my savings. It was a photocopying service in Sopot. Over the following years, I found running my own ventures more successful than working for someone else.

ToggleEnterpreneurship is The Challenge
As my boss put it when I was working in a bank: “Piotr, you have a problem with authority”. It’s true, I don’t like taking orders. However, I don’t entirely have a problem with authority. I like to learn from people who know what they are doing and whom I admire. I don’t like it if I have to do something and I don’t know why, or if it seems pointless and senseless to me, it then disturbs my peace of mind. Sometimes, unfortunately, when starting out, you can’t see what the next steps will be and what the goal of a given action is, you need to trust that the chosen strategy will lead us to the goal. I learned this along the way.
Overcoming Failures and Valuing Knowledge
Then there were many more companies. When I faced failures, over time I found out that the cause was my lack of knowledge. In the words of Warren Buffett: “What you know earns you money, what you don’t know loses it.” Business is repeatable, sometimes we may not want to admit it, but it is a skill. Something you can learn and train. You can learn from books, you can learn by listening to wise people on YT, Tik Tok. Over time, you will learn to filter information and pick out what resonates with you. It’s important to learn from practitioners.
The Journey of Self-Leadership
Enterpreneurship is personal leadership. So, I recommend you pay attention to Marek Piasek on selected social media platforms like Insta, FB, and also recently YT. You can find out more about Marek on his website, which I post below. If you have fears about starting your first business, know that you are not alone. I took a long time to get started and two months after the start, I thought it was the end. That’s when I ran out of money. As they say: action cures anxiety. Gain knowledge to start and set off on your journey. Interestingly, each of us works for ourselves. Each of us is the CEO of our own life. So, I’m going to continue managing the brand Piotr Piasek. Do you feel like the CEO of your own life and consciously manage the brand that is you?
